WHO AM I ?

Image
"I" refers to the personality as a combination of the five aggregates (form, feeling, sensation, perception, consciousness) or the brain that analyzes data through the senses such as the eyes, nose, mouth, ears, skin, and mind to create perception and understanding.  Physically: You are the way your body and brain function.  Psychologically: You are the combination of thoughts, memories, and emotions.  Visually: You are the "observer" who experiences life.  In short, "I" is the identity formed by the combination of your experiences, thoughts, and body.  The "I" who is awake. The "I" who sleeps and dreams. The "I" who lives in a deep sleep without dreams. I understand that this is me. So who is this "I"?  There is one question that has tormented man for tens of thousands of years. That is, whose creation he is. They have created a large number of models about this creator.  Man, who is very interested in the creator,...

WOMEN ( ACCORDING TO SRI LANKA )

Image
Who is a woman? Women represent more than half of the total population of today's society. But since ancient times, women have not been given good things in various social classes. In such a background, who is a woman? What kind of status did she have in society? I think it is timely to inquire about this. Human beings are biologically divided into two parts, female and male. The first difference in the world as a man can be recognized with the appearance of secondary sexual characteristics. Secondary sexual characteristics appear only for reproduction. It is only necessary to produce a biological child. In social evolution, the division into sexes is an essential factor for the survival of life. There, the man provides the seed of life and the woman plants that seed, supporting the continued existence of life in the world. That is the only thing that matters in this world is the difference between men and women.  But in the course of social evolution, power struggles between...

WILL YOU BE REBORN ?

Image
Let us examine whether humans are reborn or not according to the religions prevalent in Sri Lankan society. When it comes to reincarnation, it is still a myth for modern science. In Buddhism, which is the origin of Judeo-Christian-Muslim beliefs and Hinduism, this is divided into soul and anatma. Simply put, whether a born being is reborn or not is a question of whether a physical part of it is used. That is, the story is used here that there is a soul part of the body, like a new life starting from something like a leaf, and that this is not the case. It is said that both of these views were based on Sinhala knowledge, and that they were lost without knowing what the mind is. According to Buddhism,  which is the origin of Hinduism, karma (karmic power, karmic dharma) contributes to rebirth. Karma is created through thoughts in the body, words, and thoughts. Karma creates a rebirth based on the thought that occurs at the moment of death. This bhava is a Hinduization of the w...

DEPRESSION

Image
WHAT IS DEPRESSION Depression is a condition in which someone experiences negative feelings for a long time. It is more serious than occasional sadness or mental anguish. A person suffering from depression often shows symptoms of anxiety or excessive worry. Although it is normal for a person to feel sad at times, depression is a medical condition that requires medical treatment. Do you have symptoms of depression?  Of course, there are times when we feel sad, lonely, or low. Feeling down is a normal reaction when we lose something, when life is full of troubles, or when our self-confidence is broken. However, such feelings can develop into physical symptoms, persist for a long time, and even lead to withdrawal from normal, active life.  At this point, it is best to seek medical advice. A mental health professional can easily diagnose and treat you for depression. If left untreated, symptoms of major depression can worsen and last for months or even years. This can lead t...
